Thierry was born in Shaaloani to a hyur woman who traveled the star for alchemical research. She had fallen in love with an elezen who did not return the sentiment, and turned her away when she declared she was with child. Heartbroken, she returned to Tural, and soon after Thierry was born.Thierry grew up with a dislike of his elezen heritage due to his absentee father, which was further exacerbated by the bullying he received. One day, the local children took things too far and he was viciously mauled by a stray dog. Disfigured at a young age, this affected his self confidence considerably.While recovering, he developed an addiction to pain killers that gradually became insatiable. When doctors refused to prescribe him more, he learned from his mother's texts how to synthesize them himself. And when he couldn't get the raw materials himself, he turned to petty crime.One such crime involved a heist on a train en route to Yyasulani. Unfortunate timing saw Thierry trapped in the dome that suddenly appeared with all of the other residents of Yyasulani. Though it had been days for his mother, for Thierry, it took thirty years to return home.In that time, he's been quite busy making a name for himself in Solution 9.

Amiable and very approachable, quick to smile and laugh.Despite his looks and his profession, he has no stomach or patience for violence and is generally pretty pacifistic.Mama's boy; speaks highly of his mother and does not brook insults or slights to her from others.Big hearted and tends to lean empathetic. Helps those he takes a liking to and knows the value of community.Home schooled in alchemy by his mother as a child- perfected the craft through 30 years of self-study while he was trapped in the dome over Yyasulani.

Terrified of dogs - they are his number one phobia; he will straight up leave the vicinity if he hears a dog barking.Heavily scarred on the right side of his face, palms, and forearms. One ear (his right) appears to have been bitten shorter, and the other is surgically notched shorter to match.Glass eye - his right eye was damaged by the dog that attacked him. He replaced it once he could afford it as an adult.Considerably short for an elezen (given his half-elezen heritage).Two gold teeth - his right lateral incisor and cuspid. Rumor has it he was punched in the face and lost the originals.May or may not be addicted to surgery - he has had multiple procedures once he became wealthy to 'fix himself up'.

Thierry is not only a skilled alchemist with a litany of painkillers and various other suspicious substances, he is addicted to his own supply. He suffers from chronic pain and nerve damage, which has him unfortunately chasing both relief and a high in many ways. Be it alcohol or drugs, one can reasonably expect to find him under the influence of something.

Sustenance

Baking seems to be a passion of Thierry's, and he often smells of fresh baked bread and spices. He likes to entertain, but more than that he likes to make sure people are fed and happy. Are you looking a bit peaky? When was the last time you ate? Thierry may mother hen over anyone with a growling stomach and offer them his lunch. Or, if he really likes them, a loaf of freshly baked sourdough next time they meet.

Thierry is a skilled alchemist who seems to specialize in pain meds.. Suffering from chronic pain? Need a little something to take the edge off? Mentally, physically, emotionally, whatever your suffering he's surely got something for you up his sleeve.
Of course, if you're looking for something that's just fun or for enhancing experiences or abilities, well, he's got a few less-than-legal blends as well.

There is so often a deal to be struck in life- and Thierry is an opportunist by necessity. He will also often act as an investor if anyone has a cause worthy of investing in.Additionally, due to the nature of his "work" and general distaste towards violence, he is actively looking for a bodyguard.

Thierry is a man with two ears and a heart-- and he is not immune to a little romance. Especially given his complicated relationship with his own self-confidence, if he receives any compliments whatsoever he is pretty affectionate in return. However, given his questionable dealings, things have a propensity to get messy with him.

Not only does Thierry now look considerably different than he did as a teen; he was a victim of the Heritage Found dome and thus aged up thirty years in a handful of days. To those outside of the time bubble, they may have known him as a kid quite easily; especially considering he and his mother traveled the star for her research.
